Campsites in Dordogne, Correze and Haute Vienne, South West France

The Dordogne -  or otherwise known as the Périgord and is divided into four areas:

Green Perigord (Périgord Vert)
With its outstandingly beautiful landscape and unspoilt heritage (watermills, Romanesque churches and medieval villages plus many fairytale chateaux.  The area offers many nature activities such as fishing or hiking.
White Perigord (Périgord Blanc)
With Périgueux as its capital.  Classified as a city of art and history, Périgueux has an exceptional architectural landscape which is more than 2000 years old.
Black Perigord (Périgord Noir)
Between the Vézère valley (valley of humankind), classified as an UNESCO World Heritage with its 15 sites, and the Dordogne valley which has several authentic villages, castles and the fortified medieval city of Sarlat, classified as a city of art and history (77 monuments are protected).
Purple Perigord (Périgord poupre )
Located South-West of the Dordogne area, this area has been named "Périgord Pourpre" for its strong and elegant wines. Country of Bergerac vineyards.

Le Moulin du Chatain (The Chestnut Mill) Campsite and Leisure Park offers self-catering holidays for all the family to enjoy. Spacious, modern chalets and mobile homes to rent plus pitches for touring caravans and tents - all set in a valley, surrounded by trees with a waterfall and river running through.

There are three lakes if you enjoy trout or carp fishing. A bar and restaurant is situated in the old mill for all your entertainment needs. The pitches are set in hedges and evergreen trees for your privacy (8 m x 5m). A sanitation block which has laundry, baby and handicapped facilities.

Camping from 12 euros per night

Located in the heart of the National Park of Périgord , Limousin between Limoges and Perigueux. The Campsite Château the Verdoyer is a 4-Star rated campsite and caravan park with swimming pools, water slide, tennis courts, restaurant, bar, snack-bar, entertainment. Nearby: fishing and hiking, canoeing, horse riding, golfing and karting. The campsite is situated in the grounds of the Château and offers camping with tents, caravans and camping cars.

The campsite also offers: mobile homes, cottages for rent. Rooms in the castle are also for rent.

Camping from 18 euros per night

Campsite Les Valades is set on a hillside overlooking countryside between the Dordogne and Vezère rivers. Each of the 49 touring pitches is surrounded by variety of flowers, shrubs and trees. Pitches are flat and grassy, mostly on terraces, all with electricity (10A) and most with individual water and drainage as well. At the bottom of the hill, away from the main area, is the swimming pool, a good sized lake for carp fishing, swimming or canoeing (free canoes). From the moment you arrive you can see that the owners, M. and Mme. Berger, take enormous pride in the appearance of their campsite, with an abundance of well tended flowers and shrubs everywhere you look. There are also a few well shaded ‘woodland’ camping pitches.

Camping from 22 euros per night

Campsite ‘The Escapade’  is  a 4-star luxury campsite situated in the Dordogne – near to the historic town of Bergerac which has many activities on site – such as: heated swimming pool and slides, minigolf, mountain biking (bikes for hire), table tennis, badminton, volleyball, soccer, playground, mini club, table football, pinball machines, free donkey rides, trampoline, billiards, petanque, mini golf, bowling alley.
Close by: canoeing, horse riding, fishing and so on, quad, parachuting...
There are also activities organized by the camping club such as: games, competitions, theme evenings and dinner dances, shows.

Camping from 16 euros per night

Enjoy your holiday experience on our 17 ha campsite, near to the beautiful sites of the Dordogne. The spacious pitches,100-200m2, have been landscaped informally, providing sun and, because of the surrounding large trees, shade. In 2000 we re-opened the gates of “camping à la ferme” which was originally landscaped in the 1960’s. We offer you: swimming pool 8mx18m + paddling pool, modern sanitary + laundry room, sports field, children’s play area, jeu de boules, table tennis, children’s farm, activities for young and old ,horse riding, donkey excursions,(snack) bar + pizzeria, theme-menus (table d'hote), restaurant, bakery, info (Fr/Eng/Dutch/German), holiday homes and fully equipped tents. Camping from 12 euros per night

Camping la Forêt is located near the village of Pezuls and is set in beautiful countryside, surrounded by hills and forests. The majority of the pitches are set in a glade of small oak trees and is a nature lovers paradise with rare wild orchids in the meadow on site during May and June. Walking and cycling tours starting from the campsite are a real pleasure. There is ample space for children to play and a special playground for the little ones. A tennis-court, swimming pools sportfield and a volleyball court are and free for our campers. Camp shop and bar are open daily during the high season
